About Our Organization

COMAFAS is a community-based agricultural organization in Nigeria, aimed at mobilizing women, youths, and farmers towards self-sufficiency in agriculture. We focus on modern agricultural practices, mechanization, and upgrading produce for domestic and international markets with. Our activities include training, seminars, and access to farming inputs and equipment, facilitated through partnerships the various stakeholders.

Our Deliverables

With the aim of ensuring adequate and sufficient food supply in the nation, creation of wealth among farmers, and eradication of unemployment to a considerable minimum among youths and women in the country, COMAFAS is established to provide professional and quality Agricultural Business SolutionsÂ’ service delivery that are reliable, timely and cost effective.

Our systems, processes and workforces have been streamlined to, Design, and Build, Secure and Maintain Agricultural Farming Solutions. Our understanding of Agricultural business runs from simple Farming to Complex.

Our experience brings progressively increasing Return on Investment (ROI) and decreasing Operating Expenses thereby, improving Stakeholder Value.

Our Mandate

COMAFAS has the mandate to:

  • Help nigerians meet the domestic and international needs of our people,
  • Prosper Farmers through aggressive engagement into agri- business
  • Create job opportunities that will reduce our dependence on oil and government salaries.
  • Encourage young and small scale investors to engage and participate in modern agri- business solutions.
  • Make agriculture a profession and livelihood for our people, focusing on the value chain in those areas where nigeria has comparative advantage

Our Aims & Objectives

  • To mobilize farmers in setting up and running allied cottage industries in their communities in Nigeria using the cooperative methodology.
  • To ensure that farmers in various communities in Nigeria leverage on their comparative Advantage for better farming input.
  • To help farmers reduce post harvest losses and takeoff excess.
  • To modernize young farmers clubs in all the primary, secondary, high schools and tertiary institutions, create modernize school farms to be maintained by our trained extension personnel.

Our Core Solutions

  • Training and programs in SNAIL, POULTRY, AQUACULTURE, CASSAVA, COCO YAM, YAM, COCOA, RICE, WHEAT, SESAME SEED, MAIZE, BEANS, GRANDNUT, LOCUST BEAN, DAIRY, OIL PALM, CASTOR OIL, CASSAVA PROCESSING, COTTON, and TOMATO FARMING.
  • Support in feed processing and production.
  • Sales promotion through One-Stop-Shop Centers for processed foods and agricultural produces.
  • Aid to grants, loans, inputs, fertilizers, farming equipment, and land acquisition.

Our partners include African Development Bank (AfDB), Bank of Agriculture (BOA), various government and private institutions, and international organizations. We have served numerous clients, including educational institutions, cooperative societies, and agricultural empowerment initiatives.

Our Action Plan

COMAFAS collaborates with local and national bodies to register farmers, partner on agricultural value chain investments, sponsor cottage industries, and establish food processing centers to reduce post-harvest losses.
